The club has had to withdraw from the North West Mens League Division 4 N&W. We have struggled for some time, as far back as pre season, to raise a team to represent the club in the League. Credit goes to the coaching staff for getting a team out when we have played.

Whilst we have over 30 players registered fielding 17 players on any one Saturday seems to have been beyond us despite the hard work of committed volunteers to achieve it.

The club will move to the merit league and arrange fixtures for the rest of the season as and when players are available.

Chairman, Simon Hornby, commented ” whilst we have gold standard volunteers and coaches and first class facilities it doesn’t seem to have been enough for the current set of players to make themselves available in sufficient numbers to represent the club. We were in the merit league 3 years ago and playing fixtures under merit league rules is probably more suited to where we are right now. Our commitment to developing the game on the Fylde coast remains as it was and we will look to others to represent the club in competitive fixtures going forward”.
