Blackpool Stanley U14 44 Culceth U14 8
Blackpool Stanley U14 cruised to victory against a Culceth side who were just below them in the league with two players helping themselves to hat tricks but it was a great team performance all round that won the game. Front row forwards Sean Harvey and Connor Willis set the platform for the 1st try with surging runs forward with Fergus Anderson showing his power and pace to go over for the 1st of his 4 tries converted by AJ lord. It was AJ Lord then to get the 1st of his hat trick tries going in from 60m out from a scrum. The Stanley defence was then being tested with Ben Hindley showing his growing stature making 2 great try saving tackles but eventually Culceth managed to get over for try. Daniel Stretton then proved his strength driving forward taking three players with him leading to Anderson getting his 2nd converted try to leave the score 16-4 at half time. More great scrummaging by the pack gave AJ Lord the chance to sneak over for his 2nd converted try quickly followed by another by Jordan Hindley who outpaced the whole Culceth defence for a great individual try. Culceth managed another try but Anderson then from the kick off burst his way through the away defence going 70m for his hat trick try. The Stanley forwards were still going strong punching huge holes through the away defence with AJ Lord exploiting a tiring Culceth side to pick up his hat trick try and a personal points tally of 24points with conversions. It was left to Anderson to finish off with his 4try after some hard hitting defence by Dean Harding and Nathan Winter led to the ball coming free with Anderson running in to finish off the game with a converted try. This was no 2 man show with every player from 1 to 15 playing their part in a deserved win and looking forward to this weeks game away at Wigan St Cuthberts. Blackpool Stanley are always looking out for players of any ability to join and can turn up for training on Mondays at 6pm,Thursdays at 6pm at Kingscote park, off Grange Rd in Layton.
