Background

Blackpool Stanley is an open and inclusive club that seeks to develop the game of rugby league in the Blackpool Area and its immediate catchment areas. The club is ambitious and recognises that the strength of the club will ultimately come from the quantity and quality of the volunteers who help run the club and its activities.

As part of our Club Mark accreditation, given to us by the Rugby Football League (our National Governing Body), the club recognises that all our volunteers need to be suitably trained and qualified in the roles that they are performing. The club also commits to ensuring that all volunteers are checked for their suitability for working with young people with the Criminal Records Bureau.

The club is always looking for volunteers not only to help with preparing teams for matches but also behind the scenes in helping.

Team Volunteers

Each team at the club requires a minimum of three volunteers to cover the roles of Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager, First Aider and Touchline Manager. There is no limit to the numbers of volunteers who can help with preparing the teams during the week and on match days.

Club Volunteers

Volunteers are needed at all times to help with a variety of roles behind the scenes and in support of the teams. These include everything from exec board members (e.g. Vice Chairman), Management Board members (e.g. Youth Chairman) , PRO’s Catering Assistance, fund raisers, event organisers, funding co-ordinators etc.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with the renovation of the changing rooms at the club house.
