A Safeguarding and Protecting Children Course (SCP) will be held at the club on Thursday 20th March 2014, 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
As part of our on going Club Mark accreditation ALL coaches and volunteers need to have a up to date SCP certificate.
The safeguarding and protecting Children Course (SPC) is now part of the coaching licence and continues to be the recognised safeguarding course for all volunteers in rugby league.
How is the SPC course presented?
The course is three hours in length with a coffee break mid-way through. It is primarily a PowerPoint presentation with scenarios for small group activity with group (not individual) feedback and discussion. Participants are only required to take their own personal notes if they wish (a course handbook is supplied for future reference).
The costs for this SPC course have been met by the club.
Anyone who is unable to attend the SPC course organised for the 20th March will need to arrange to attend one on an alternative date. These course are normally run outside Blackpool, and the cost will need to be met by the individual.
