The club is pleased to announce the hosting of three rugby union games on Saturday 22nd October, Saturday 5th November 2016 and Saturday 7th January 2017, subject to weather conditions. Our fiends from Thornton Cleveleys RUFC will host their home 3rd team fixtures at the Park on those dates. Thornton are fielding 3 teams in the 2016-17 rugby union season and have only 2 pitches avaiable at there usual home venue at the YMCA sports centre in Thornton. Simon Hornby commented “with our season completed we were happy to offer our facilities to Thornton for occasional fixtures , not only does it solve a potential problem for Thornton but it also means we will have activity at the club throughout our close season along with vital revenue at the club house, a win win“.

Simon added “I would hope that the games will be well supported by our own supporters and the local community who will get the opportunity to see another flavour of Rugby on there doorstep“.
