A social distancing form of Rugby League returned to the club last week (10/6/20), no contact, limited sharing of equipment and all 2m apart. Players pre-booked their space on the session and were asked wash hands pre and post session. No access to changing or showering facilities and only limited access to toilets.
The club took advice from a supportive RFL in establishing the sessions and ensuring all the process and procedures needed to ensure everyone’s safety was in place.
Chairman, Simon Hornby, commented “It all seemed a little strange given the period of lockdown we have all experienced, but it was good to be back and see everyone again”
Sessions will continue on a weekly basis on a Wednesday night from 7pm. Anyone wishing to attend needs to book a place in advance. Places are limited as each group of 6 needs to include a coach and we are limited by the number of coaches available. Please don’t just turn up at these restricted sessions.
Thanks to all the volunteers to helped make this small step back to “normal” possible.
