The most recent Government plan to lifting COVID-19 has given the RFL a framework for return to play for community clubs. The current plan is that a restricted return to training can commence from 29/3/21. For Blackpool Stanley that means a return to training/coaching for the Open Age squad on 31/3/21. More details regarding Open Age training follow this link – 2021 Open Age
With the return to training on the 31st March the club will implement COVID-19 protocols prescribed by the RFL and designed to enable the Governments Test and Trace to locate individual who may have been affected by any outbreak starting at the club. Isolation can then be advised by NHS Test and Trace as appropriate.
From 12th April 2021 hospitality venues are currently scheduled to open for outdoor service and the club will be looking to how we can open the club at weekends from this date. More details will follow.
The RFL have started that inter club friendlies can start from 24th April with competitive leagues starting 8/5/21.
More info will follow on this website as the plan to full return to play progresses.
Naturally the progress of the return to play plan is subject to the Government lifting restrictions and there is always a possibility that the plan may be extended or indeed cancelled.
