The club is pleased to announce the appointment of five new directors. As a limited company the club has a legal requirement to have a minimum number of directors and with the passing of Graham Pitman the number of directors had fallen below the minimum level.
We would like to welcome Keith Laycock, Mick Sly, Gary Parker, Steve Gilderdale and Steve Clements to the management group at the club. All have had a long standing association with the club and it is good to have them on board. The new directors bring a wealth of experience in different areas and will prove to be key to developing the club further.
We hope that 2021 will bring a different context in which to operate and we can start to develop the club further. Matt Bowen is leading on developing the junior and youth section at the club and the addition of the extra directors will help us support and implement the plans we have once the COVID situation allows.
Chairman, Simon Hornby, commented “our development plans have been on hold for some time now, but with the addition of Matt Bowen and the 5 new directors we now have the people and finances in place to allow us to progress once the COVID situation allows. I would like everyone at the club to give a Stanley welcome the new directors”.
