East Manchester Rangers U13 52 — 0 Blackpool Stanley U13
Match Report
Blackpool Stanley under 13’s travelled to East Manchester with 12 men and were given a lesson in enthusiasm by the newly formed Manchester side.
Stanley started well enough, had much of the possession but failed to capitalise on some good field position and opportunity. The bigger and more enthusiastic Manchester team put pressure on the Stanley attack and forced numerous errors which they then turned in to points by running strongly at a less than physical Stanley defence. Points were scored regularly throughout the first half and Stanley entered half time 34 – 0 down. The second half turned out much as the first with Stanley failing to put pressure on the rangers attack and allowing more points to be scored from deep positions.
Despite the score line there were encouraging signs, although infrequent, from the Stanley side with Captain Jordan Hindley working tirelessly in both defence and attack, some defence from Dean Harding and Nathan Winter when needed and some strong running in attack from Liam Harrison.
