The winners of this years community game raffle have been announced.
Dave Salkeld is the winner of the 2013 Community Game Raffle.
Chris Rostron, Rugby League Cares Manager was on hand to make the draw on Saturday in which two of the winning tickets were bought tickets from the Skirlaugh club who sold 2,733 tickets in total.
Dave can now look forward to a five-night trip for two to New York which also includes £500 spending money.
This year’s draw has continued the success of the money raising initiative with over 35,500 tickets sold. Since the RFL launched the concept six years ago over 185,000 tickets have been sold in the Rugby League community.
The Rugby League Cares charity has benefited by just under £11,000 thanks to this year’s fund-raiser with selling organisations like clubs and schools boosting their coffers to the tune of almost £21,000.
