The club has decided to withdraw for the North West Mens League Division 5 for the 2018 season.

The main reason for this has been the inability of the club to fulfil a full fixture programme in Division 5 last year (2017). Failure to fulfil fixtures lead to fines in excess of £200 from the league and loss of revenue at the club house which was in excess of £1500.

The rules governing the merit league are more flexible and more suited to the position the club is currently in. Essentially the club can chose dates, opposition and venue that suit it without the cost on not being able to fulfil scheduled fixtures,
