Blackpool Stanley U14 58 — 4 Bamber Bridge Bulldogs U14
Blackpool Stanley u14’s Win 58-4 over Bamber Bridge brings them to the top of the league table.
Blackpool played their home game one man down to the opposition Bamber Bridge, but this didn’t faze Stanley as they started the game strong and in the opening minutes of the game Jordan Hill scored the early try, Oliver hall converting.
After some great play by the away team, Stanley’s great defence by Hall, Birch and Jones turned over Bamber Bridge’s ball giving Henry McIntosh his first try of the season for Stanley. Next to score was Callum Roberts seeing an advantage of a undefended wing again converted by Hall. Joe Birch with his amazing footwork weaved through Bamber Bridge’s defence to secure the 4th goal of the game and Hill’s 60 meter sprint outran Bamber Bridge placing the try, centre posts for an easy conversion by Hall. Great pressure applied by Stanley awarded Reiss Yorke with the closing try at halftime, converted by Hall for a great lead of 32-0.
The second half saw no respite for Bamber Bridge as Stanley applied the pressure and rewarded Birch and Roberts with 2 more try’s and hall 1 more conversion.
A lucky break by Bamber Bridge allowed them the only try of the game but this wasn’t converted.
This didn’t faze Stanley who instantly hit back with Jordan Hill’s hat trick try of the game converted by Hall despite strong winds. Some great team play by Hobson, MCcrory and Diss set up Connor Schofield for his try stampeding through Bamber Bridge’s defence to reach the try line. The closing try of the game between the posts for Stanley’s team captain Callum Roberts helps to secure Tom Anderson’s conversion into strong head winds.
Final Score 58-4.
It was Great team effort by Stanley which made it difficult for coach Dave Kirby to choose Man of the Match.
