5000 mile Lockdown Challenge

As a local rugby league community club we are losing out on valuable income from our home fixtures due to the current COVID-19 situation,. As a small club, we rely on the income from our home games to pay the bills and keep the club afloat.

We are kindly asking families, supporters, members of our club to make a small donation, or to donate what they would maybe spend at the club during nomal attendance at the club during the playing season.

It is not ideal for the club set up this page, as we realise that during these tough times, funding and donating to the NHS is a priority. However, it’s important that we are able to financially secure our club during these difficult time but equally as important that we as a club can support the NHS. Therefore, we want to split the funds raised from this page 50/50 beween our club and the NHS Charities fund. We will also be publishing proof of our donation made to the NHS.

As a team, we also want to earn the money that is kindly being donated and have set ourselves the challenge to run/cycle a combined total of 5,000 miles during this next 3 week lockdown period. We will be publishing our miles completed on a weekly basis to prove we have reached our target. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, it is much appreciated!
